The Argument...

Pictured here is a booth at Portland's Saturday Market. The food vendor with the blue tent is titled "Elephant Ears" these have been a favorite of mine since I was a little kid and my Mom would take me down to the market on Saturday mornings. Well to make a long story short. I still refer to those yummy donutty like treats as elephant ears. Mike...on the other hand calls them Indian fry bread. He grew up here where- i don't know why but they are called Indian fry bread. In Portland they are referred to as elephant ears and that is what they look like- big floppy ears- in Arizona they are referred to as Indian fry bread..because - I don't know maybe only the Indians made them.. ;) ...kidding so Mike and I have a long standing debate about these yummy treats. I still call them elephant ears and he well- Indian fry bread.
