Every one has a "First Day"when they feel sad and all alone.
It can be so scary when you're out on your own.
Take my hankie, dry your tears.
You'll find lots of things to do and you'll probably make new friends.
I promise we'll be together when the school day ends.
Here comes the teacher, blow your nose and be brave.
Come on now wipe your eyes, this is no way to behave.
"Well, good morning teacher"
We really must beg your pardon.
No, MOMMY doesn't always act this way.
But it's my first day of....KINDERGARTEN!

She picked out this Hello Kitty backpack because it had a lot of sparkles
Mike pushing her on the swing just before class starts
Just after school, we took her out to lunch and she picked "McDonald's"
Haylee just before entering her classroom
Haylee was pretty nervous about her first day of school. It was a "big school" she said and lots of new people. She was pretty upset when Mike walked her into the classroom at the teachers request all of the kids sat on a large colorful mat on the floor. Haylee's tears started the minute Mike put her on that mat. She was scared. When he walked out of the classroom she was still crying.I peaked in and checked on her a few minutes later and she was no longer crying but sitting quietly listening to her new teacher Ms Goings. When we picked her up, she said she had fun and made a new friend already. The second day of school was much easier for her now that she had a friend to sit with. My little girl is growing up!
